October 2026
- v1.53 · 28 Oct — The corner of the desktop is now one quiet line with the version. Click it to open About, which now shows the release date plus What’s new and Send Feedback buttons.
- v1.52 · 27 Oct — The cookie notice now sits at the bottom centre of the screen.
- v1.50 · 27 Oct — Classic Notepad’s guide pages are now available in 20 languages, plus new guides to private notes, opening .txt files and dark mode.
- v1.49 · 24 Oct — The cookie notice matches your notepad theme, including dark mode.
- v1.48 · 23 Oct — Smaller cookie notice, tucked into the bottom-left corner.
- v1.47 · 23 Oct — The “i” button in the corner of the desktop is now a faint watermark with the version, What’s new and Feedback. It brightens when you hover over it.
- v1.46 · 23 Oct — The credit line in the corner of the desktop is now a small “i” button. Click it for the version, What’s new and Feedback.
- v1.44 · 23 Oct — Every visitor can now decline analytics cookies from the banner.
- v1.42 · 23 Oct — Visitors in Europe can accept or decline analytics cookies, and change their choice from the Privacy page.
- v1.42 · 23 Oct — A maximized window is no longer covered by the theme button and footer line. Theme is now in the View menu, and What’s New and Send Feedback are in the Help menu.
- v1.39 · 23 Oct — More space above and below the notepad window on laptop screens. The version number and date now show in the corner, with links to this page and to send feedback.
- v1.37 · 23 Oct — Cleaner header on the guide pages.
